Chris R Deans is a Supply Chain executive with 27 years of broad and deep business experience, 17 of which involved managing and consulting in Supply Chain and Operations organizations. Throughout his career, Chris has worked in the energy, forest products, government and consulting industries. He has hands-on experience managing manufacturing planning & scheduling, customer service, inventory management, warehousing and distribution & logistics organizations. Chris is a CPA and has also earned his CPIM and CIRM certifications from APICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society). He is also an award winning APICS certified instructor.
Since coming to China in 2007, Chris has been performing free-lance consulting for a variety of clients while also leading Basics of Supply Chain Management seminars in Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh City for the Global Supply Chain Counsel. He is the author of the regular “Back to the Basics” column for CHaINA magazine and is an adjunct Professor of Supply Chain Management for Webster University’s MBA program.
